Bob Straub State Park in Oregon

Located between Tillamook and Lincoln City, Bob Straub State Park is a beautiful park with views of both the Pacific Ocean and the Nestucca River. It is a great place to play in the sand and is far less crowded than the nearby beach at Pacific City.

Beach Access

From the parking lot, a short walk through the dunes is required to reach the beach. Once there, take in the gorgeous surroundings.

Trails

There are four trails within Bob Straub State Park for both hikers and those on horseback.

Dune Ridge: .5 miles along the sand dunes with access points down to the beach

Marsh Trail: 2.2 miles traveling along the ocean side of the park, also with beach access

Bay Trail: 2.3 miles. This sandy trail meanders through the marshy area between the Pacific Ocean and the Nestucca River. Please note: During the wet season, there will likely be high levels of standing water that may result in you needing to turn around.

River Trail: 1.8 miles. This trail takes you to views of the Nestucca River.

Bob Straub State Park was originally called Nestucca Spit State Park. It was renamed for an Oregon Governor that helped protect the Nestucca Spit from becoming a highway.
